                                                Flame retardant - Zinc Borate

1. Formula: 2Zn0 · 3B203 · 3.5H20

2. Property
The product is white and nonpoisonous powder. It can be dissolved easily in hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, dimethyl sulfoxide, etc; but not in water, ethyl alcohol, benzene, acetone, etc. It has good dispersibility and stability and so becomes very good flame retardant and smoke abating substance. When used with Antimony Trioxide or Chlorinated Paraffin-70°, the effectiveness of flame retardant will be better than ever

3. Usage:
Zinc Borate can be used as a flame retardant in PVC products, rubber, coating, textile fabric and good for wood to mothproof, etc. As a flame retardant, it can also fully or partly take the place of Antimony Trioxide.
